Welcome back to Christmas at The Carpenter’s.

Our wonderful head chef, Atos has created a delicious menu, with plenty of classic festive favourites using only the best seasonal, locally-sourced produce from our fantastic suppliers. With drinks from award-winning wine merchants, from bubbles to oak-aged negronis & espresso martinis, we’ve got you covered.

Private Dining & Christmas Parties 

Our home-from-home, private dining room is ready & waiting to welcome 16 guests, set on the first floor of the pub & decked in luxurious paisley curtains framed by the Victorian cottages of Black Lion Lane.

Our Christmas menu is £60 for 3 delicious courses, crackers & mini mince pies. Please note that our Christmas Party Menu is available from Monday 17th November and must be ordered in advance. Our standard a la carte menu will also be available throughout December. Our menus focus on simple, beautifully cooked seasonal food & our festive offer is no different, with sustainably caught fish, British meats, delicious vegetarian & vegan options & tempting, classic puddings to finish.

An evening of Christmas Carols – Tuesday 2nd December 

A favourite tradition! Teaming up with St Peter’s Square church & residents, we’ll fill the evening with carols, mince pies, our house mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, and lots of festive cheer.

New Year’s Eve 

For those joining us to celebrate New Year’s Eve, our special menu includes a welcome glass of Taittinger Brut and has been expertly devised to elevate your New Year’s Eve experience, alongside live music & a cocktail & wine list to toast the New Year.
